Product description

Magnetic Charred Elm Wood Knife Holder

This handcrafted knife holder is made from solid Estonian elm wood, treated using the ancient Japanese Yakisugi (Shou Sugi Ban) technique. The controlled charring process strengthens the wood and creates a durable, deep black protective carbon layer on the surface.

Each knife holder is made from a single wood slab or disc—no glued or laminated wood is used. Some holders are engraved with the C12wood brand mark as a subtle design detail.

Built-In Magnets & Easy Mounting

  • The back side of the knife holder contains embedded neodymium magnets, hidden under small wooden plugs for a clean finish.
  • Equipped with double-sided adhesive strips, installation is quick and tool-free:
Just remove the protective film, press the holder firmly onto the desired surface, and hold for 10 seconds.

Food-Safe Finish & Durable Surface

Finished with a natural oil and wax blend that’s safe for food contact, the surface is water-repellent and maintenance-free. No re-oiling is required over time.

To clean, simply wipe with a damp cloth or rinse by hand. (Dishwasher use is not recommended, as it may damage the product.)
Note: The knife holder is not fireproof.

Naturally Unique – One of a Kind

Each knife holder is handmade from natural wood, so shape, size, and grain will vary—some are more oval, others more round. Cracks, uneven edges, and surface texture are normal features of the charring process and not defects.

These organic details are part of what makes every C12wood knife holder a unique piece of functional design.
