Handcrafted Charred Ash Wood Design Candle Holder

These candle holders are crafted from solid Estonian ash wood using the traditional Japanese Yakisugi (Shou Sugi Ban) technique. The wood is carefully charred to enhance durability and achieve a rich, deep black tone, while forming a natural protective carbon layer on the surface.

Each piece is made from a single plank of wood—no glued wood or composites—and engraved with the C₁₂wood brand mark as a signature of authenticity.

Natural, Food-Safe Finish

To protect the wood and enhance its character, each candle holder is finished with a natural oil and wax blend—the same food-safe finish I use for cutting boards. This creates a durable, water-repellent surface that withstands everyday use.

Cleaning is simple: rinse with water and dry thoroughly. (Do not clean in the dishwasher, as it may damage the item.)
Note: The candle holder is not fireproof.

Every Piece is One-of-a-Kind

Because each candle holder is handmade from natural wood, every piece has its own unique character. You may notice cracks, uneven edges, or surface variations—these are natural results of the burning process and are part of the charm, not defects.

No two items are identical, and that’s exactly the point.
